Truth moment here: my fashion blogging sister-in-law inspired me with her mix n’ match style habits to write this post.

Similar to her style, our mealtime habits are just that: a mix n’ match of my toddlers’ favorite foods each week. I then try new recipes, just like a fashion blogger might buy new purchases, and add them to the mix.

See where I’m headed with this mix n’ match concept?!

Hummus. The ultimate mix n’ match protein in the Serbinski house! I would say it’s mixed into our meal rotation every other day!
Essentially I’m sharing a grand old list of healthy foods for toddlers, and it’s up to YOU to pick your toddler’s favorite and build healthy meals from there. Here are a few pointers to keep in mind before you get started:

  • Pick 1-2 food groups for snacks and 3-5 food groups for meals.
  • Introduce new foods or recipes with a food or two that your toddler readily accepts.
  • You can snag more meal ideas here and the plates here.
  • Wonder if your toddler is eating enough? Check out these toddler serving size visuals.

Another go-to in my toddler’s rotation: chicken sausage with a favorite fruit and veggie!
Let’s get started! Here’s my food list for Joey and Anthony [with a few new foods mixed in that I’m planning on trying] that help me build a variety of healthy toddler meals for them!

Oh and us. Yes, because what Mom and Dad eat, the toddlers are eating too. Or vice versa.

Mommy and Toddler Meals. They are a thing! And something I strive for daily… although it looks like two different meals, we are sort of eating the same thing. Sort of!
