I have no idea where this last year went, but alas, Lily is officially ONE! The funny thing is she’s rarely acted like a baby. Sis has always refused a bottle, tried to keep up with her brothers at every step, and has an appetite like her 30-something Momma. If there’s one word to describe Lily it would be happy. Precious. Or maybe angelic. Wait, persistent and determined too. How can I pick just one to describe the happiest girl in the world?!

What I loved so much about this past year is seeing how my three children have not only grown as individuals, but as siblings too. Yes, the boys get annoyed with Lily trying to take their toys, trains, or milk. But I also witness them giving her hugs and kisses before every nap and bedtime. There’s definitely a bond between siblings and I love seeing that from an early age in mine.

A few weeks ago my in-laws were in town as well as my parents, so we were able to have an intimate first birthday party for Lily. Like all of babies parties, I chose a specific theme. Joey’s was pizza themed, Anthony’s was Christmas themed [I didn’t write a post on this one… sorry Anthony!], and Lily’s was You Are My Sunshine birthday themed. Because she is our sunshine!
