My Mom challenge this week was planning and executing Joey’s first birthday party! And let me also add the recovery after-the-fact as being a challenge as well. The party was on Sunday and I’m pretty sure I didn’t start feeling “normal” again until Wednesday. When it came to planning his first birthday party, Ted and I knew we’d be on the same page with the theme: PIZZA! Ted might tell you “it was love at first bite” when he tasted my pizza and our son is just the same! Because there was a lot that went into this shin-dig, I’ll save paragraph long descriptions and describe via pictures. Buon Apetito!
Birthday Hat- KaraCakes Boutique, Esty
Cupcakes- Sorella’s Homemade Baked Goods, Livonia, MI.
Tiramisu Cups- Papa Joe’s Market, Birmingham, MI.
Pizza dough + box for front door- Dearborn Italian Bakery, Dearborn, MI. We ordered 5 “dough in the pan large pizza’s” that I could bake at home and top with toppings we wanted (see picture). Each pizza made about 12 slices and we had 1/2 a pizza left over at the end of the night.
