If you’ve been a fan of my blog or my social media pages for some time now, you’ll quickly agree that 2019 hasn’t been the most active year for me when it comes to my online presence. I’ve had to take a hiatus from regularly posting because there’s something I never could have imagined in a million years that’s been taking over my life: RECOVERY. Yep, I’m in recovery. Having said that, a big part of my recovery is living in the moment, and at 7:34am I woke up wanting to write a blog post. What a way to end 2019, am I right?! And what a way to lead into this recipe for taco-inspired hummus dip.

We all know I love dips. I think they are a great tool for getting those picky eaters to try new foods, they are the perfect appetizer for parties or game day, and let’s be real, you can get super creative with them. So when Sabra recently developed their taco hummus, I knew it would make the perfect base for this taco-inspired hummus dip.

I don’t know if bridging recovery and taco dips really makes sense to anyone else, but it does to me! And putting it out to you all that yes, I’m struggling, but yes, I don’t want you to go anywhere, has helped in a way. My hope is that through 2020 you stand by me- ready to learn more about my recovery, my struggles, my wins, motherhood mishaps and wins too, and of course, ready to try some new recipes. Because let’s face it: Momma’s gotta keep herself and her family fed no. matter. what.
