Ranch hummus dip is like the marriage of two of my favorite things: ranch and hummus. And seriously, I feel like we are always dipping in one or the other around here— and for good reason! The boys readily try new fruits and veggies AND proteins [which is key] if I serve them alongside a dip. While they’d be happy with a tub of Sabra hummus [or “MOOSE” as Joey calls it], I combined two of their favorite dips to create ranch hummus dip. The end result? I’m pretty sure the boys were bathing in it!

Not only do I love that my family expands their palates when there is a dip involved, I almost always have a chip + veggie + dip smorgasbord when a sporting event is on. Which is usually every weekend or weeknight in this house [says the resident sports fan of the family].

While the men in my family are happy with trains, dinosaurs, and computers, Mom is happy watching her team win! Or the sound of commentators and analysts while I’m busy I’m on my computer too. Odd, I know. Some like music background noise and I like sports!

While you can easily use a ranch dressing seasoning packet instead of individual dried spices, I have a spice cabinet similar in size to other’s shoe collections, so I like making my own ranch dressing mix.

Plus you can control the amount of sodium and other ingredients that are found in the pre-made packet. This ranch hummus dip tasted delicious alongside cut-up peppers, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes. The boys loved dunking pita chips in… and maybe a finger or two too! So if you are a resident dip lover like the Serbinski crew, then this dip is for you!
