10 Homemade Popsicle Recipes for Summer

From ice pops to pudding pops, these 10 homemade popsicle recipes prove that it’s easy to cool down with a nutritious, frozen sweet treat!

In the past two weeks, I’ve exposed the boys to a variety of homemade popsicles and I’m fairly certain they think they have gone from a solid to liquid diet. The real reason behind my homemade popsicle obsession is there’s nothing more refreshing than noshing or slurping a homemade popsicle after chasing two toddlers in 80-degree weather for an hour. Add a few extra 30 some pounds to your bodyweight amidst the chase and your body will likely be craving an ice cold beer. But since we all know that’s not happening for awhile… I’ve settled for homemade popsicles! Seems like a fair trade-off, right?!

While I’ve included a few of my favorite homemade popsicle recipes from yours truly, I’m also sharing a few ice cold treats from other bloggers. Before you hit the recipes, here are a few of my favorite popsicle making tools [affiliate links included]:

  • Ozera Reusable Popsicle Molds [Bigger popsicle molds— Anthony gets an arm workout when he holds one]
  • Nuby Fruitsicle Frozen Pop Tray [These hold about 1-ounce— perfect size for the little babes!]
  • Vitamix 5300 Blender [we use this at least once a day for things like smoothies, popsicle fillings, sauces, etc.]

From fruits to veggies to yogurt and cottage cheese, the mix-ins for the perfect homemade popsicle are endless! I’d encourage you to stick with the flavors you love and regardless of choosing fresh or frozen produce, you’ll get a delicious end product that’s perfect for cooling off those little pink-cheeked kiddos [and pregnant moms too].
