It’s officially my favorite time of the year for sports: FOOTBALL SEASON. Oddly enough, I’m a fantastic multi-tasking football watcher and spend most game days not only watching games on TV but perusing Pinterest as well [this of course all depends on if the baby is napping and I can get some downtime]. The NCAA season officially kicked off last weekend and the NFL season this weekend, so that means I’ve been on a nice Pinterest win-streak! Here are some of my favorites from the football weekend:
Pin: Protein Timing to Reduce Body Fat
Pinned To: 30-60 Minutes Everyday
Pinned From: Kristina {Love & Zest}
I love this article because it highlights the importance of spreading your protein intake throughout the day, approximately 25-30 grams at each meal. The author of the article cites the research to back up this claim and gives personal examples as to how this diet changed worked for her. Definitely worth the read, or pin!

We’ve all roasted potatoes. But have you roasted them with lemon zest? Then finished them off with fresh herbs? I haven’t! I’m SO ready to try these for an easy weeknight (or holiday) side dish.

Pinned To: Sweet Treats

Joey’s first birthday party is right around the corner and the theme of his party is Italian-esc. Well, more pizza themed than anything else. But I’m going to decorate with red, white, and green, chef hats, etc. The menu includes pizza (duh), pasta salad, and tiramisu (among other things). This recipe seems so easy to prepare and make individualized for guests. Look for a blog post dedicated to his birthday this October!
Pin: Classic Margherita Pizza
Pinned To: Pizza Night
Pinned From: the kitchn
Friday night is pizza night in our house. I look for pin-spiration for pizza’s of all shapes, sizes, and toppings. This week I wanted to know what made a classic margherita pizza. Thank you to the kitchn for answering that!
Pin: Sicilian Chicken Soup
Pinned To: Soups, Stews, and Chilis
Pinned From: Patricia Giles
I’m known for making soup once a week- soup makes great leftovers and it’s typically economical to make. I’m always looking for ways to “spice-up” the traditional chicken noodle soup. This recipe fits the bill!
Were you pinning this weekend? What were some of your favorite pins?
