Greek yogurt dip is a staple in our house. I know I sound like a broken record but I SWEAR by serving new foods to Joey alongside a dip. If the new food doesn’t make it in the dip, his hand sure will, so I know he’s getting some kind of nutrition! I decided to try three different variations of Greek yogurt dip because we are dipping just about everything these days—- fruit, vegetables, cheese cubes, pita chips, chicken tenders, you name it! It it’s edible, Joey is dipping it before eating!
All About Greek Yogurt Dip
Greek yogurt is all the rage right now, and for good reason. Some people are choosing Greek yogurt because of its creamier texture and higher protein content. Greek yogurt has about twice the protein, half the sodium and half the carbohydrates as regular yogurt. Both products start with the same raw ingredient—milk. The processing causes the difference; Greek yogurt is strained three times instead of two. Along with protein, Greek yogurt is a great source of calcium. As with any food, you should read the nutrition facts label and make sure you are buying the level of fat content that you want, as most Greek yogurts include fat-free and low-fat options.
Have I sold you yet on at least trying Greek yogurt? If not, that’s ok. You can use regular yogurt for these recipes as well! Happy dipping— or as Joey would say “DIP DIP DIP!”

I don’t like Greek Yogurt as yogurt, but I love to incorporate it into dips and use as sour cream. These are great ideas that I’m definitely going to try!
