5 Easy Dinners to Make with Frozen Foods

October 20, 2019 By Katie

Looking for easy dinners to make with frozen foods? Make dinner that much easier with the convenience of frozen foods found at your local grocery store!

I’ve never been one to shy away from easy weeknight cooking. In fact, if you check out any of my family meals and/or recipes, you’ll quickly learn I’m all about convenience, simplicity, and nutrition- when I can make that happen.

Lately, and something I wish I would’ve caught on to a whole lot sooner, is taking a page from the frozen section of the grocery store and making dinner semi-homemade. I.e. I take frozen ingredients, add some fresh, and voila, there’s dinner! Below you’ll find 7 of my go-to dinner ideas to make with frozen foods, plus a shot-out to the grocery store I found the frozen item at. And if you’re anything like me, you can’t just shop at one store. It takes a few these days to get what I need!

Easy shrimp pasta with cheese sauce! You know I have mine with veggie noodles, and the kids, well they’ll eat their pasta with NO shrimp and lots of cheese sauce. My simple cheese sauce involves Boursin cheese + a little pasta water or broth to make it saucy. Easy, creamy, and delicious!

These panko-crusted chicken nuggets from Tyson [found at Costco] have been on repeat at least once a week right now. I’m even a huge fan- and that’s a lot to be said from a non-chicken-nugget-lover.

Brinner? Yep, count me in! And make it even easier with our favorite frozen breakfast brand: EGGO!

Trader Joe’s has some awesome frozen main dish options, and Mandarin Chicken [aka orange chicken in our house] is a staple in my grocery cart there!

Another pasta main from TJ’s and the meatballs from Costco. Zoodles for Mom, gnocchi for the team!

If you’ve been utilizing the frozen food section for some time and have another favorite dinner I’ve missed, please share! Despite my endless lists of dinner options, I still have moments where I do NOT know what to make for dinner!
