Pause, Pray, Proceed [with caution]

July 17, 2023 By Katie

This is a big week for the beef industry in Michigan, folks. So big that I’m just going to link to the details here and you can read at your leisure.

Michigan’s Checkoff

But the even bigger story this week is that Lily-girl turns 7 on Friday.

My creative, kind, artsy, fartsy [she'd kill me knowing I rhymed and wrote fart here], funny girl turns 7 FRIDAY!
My creative kind artsy fartsy shed kill me knowing I rhymed and wrote fart here birthday girl Painting in Moms room hey its her birthday week All things go NOT
And what does that tell you right there? That this negative-thinking brain of mine started this blog post with a sob-story about her busy Monday-Thursday. But the real gift here is being able to continue typing knowing that Friday brings light, laughter, and LOVE. We are celebrating all of that and more just thinking of Lily’s birth.

Hey were also celebrating simple wins around here Like getting our friends together for a front yard soccer or football game THE BEST PART TO ANY WEEK is seeing my team with their friends OUTSIDE Laughing playing and yes winning kidding on the winning part
So, my plan for this week is to carry-on, and when agitated, stressed, or down-right bone-tired, I’ll do the same thing I tell the kids: Pause. Pray. Put one foot in front of the other.

Some more thoughts for the week ahead…

It’s never too late to re-start or reset your day.

What other people think of you is none of your business.

Phone a friend. Or connect with one that you haven’t talked to or seen in a few weeks, heck months. Tony did just that this past Friday!

Dan and Tony have been buds since they were THREE These 8 year olds needed some much deserved quality time together and boy it didnt disappoint Lesson here hangout with those who lift you UP Build you UP

Anyhow, if you need me, hold off until Saturday…

Actually, if you can, shoot me a note. Send me a text. Comment on this post. Heck, send me an email. It’s nice knowing we’re in this together and I could START my Monday asking for some good vibes for the busy week ahead. We’ve got this!
