If there’s two things you’d find in excess in my house during this COVID-19 quarantine, it’s sausage and cereal. Strange, I know. But hear me out. Sausage is something ALL of my kids eat, so I use chicken sausage to make easy dinner recipes [here]. And cereal? There’s no explanation needed folks. Whether you have a 6-year-old or 60-year-old at home, there’s not many people that say no to cereal. So yes, I hoard boxes of General Mills cereals to eat as-is, or to make kid-friendly recipes like these peanut butter banana cereal bites.

Getting the kids in the kitchen has been a messy activity we’ve been aiming to do about once a day during this quarantine. Some days I hit that goal, other days I offer myself some grace and take a clean kitchen over a dirty one. What does 4 kids in the kitchen look like? Well, it’s usually 3 in the kitchen because we do a lot of our cooking while Michael naps. And by cooking, I really mean lots of cookie baking, produce chopping, and assembling recipes like these peanut butter banana cereal bites [or fresh apple donuts].

I should add that Lily has been the best sous chef these past few weeks!
She needs to work on her quality control [hello flour] but she’s a rock-star!
Goomba and Michael stay far away from the kitchen but never complain about what’s being served!

Chalk this recipe for peanut butter banana cereal bites up to another no-recipe, recipe from yours truly. Just slice those bananas, spread on some peanut butter, and sprinkle with toppings like Peanut Butter Chex cereal, chocolate chips, raisins, marshmallows, etc.  As you can see above I chose to sneak some raisins as a topper to these peanut butter banana cereal bites, but you know my crew would’ve approved of some sprinkles or chocolate chips. More sugar the merrier in their book!

Except for Michael. He’s on the floor after an Easter-induced sugar crash! Little bro has a hard time hanging apparently…

Virtual love, hugs, and as always, easy recipes from the M2MN kitchen. If you decide to make these peanut butter banana bites, be sure to tag me on Facebook or Instagram. I’d love to share with the M2MN community!
