When I think back to my childhood and some of my favorite warm weather foods, popsicles definitely make the list. Neighborhood games of capture the flag and tag meant one thing: game-breaks were met with Capri Suns and popsicles. Now I haven’t introduced the boys to Capri Suns [they are happy with water flavored with fresh fruit], I have shopped and made popsicles for us to enjoy when the warmer weather hits. And as the Capri Sun is the drink of hydration of my childhood, the fudgsicle is the popsicle.

While I’m not opposed to buying fudgsicles, I just purchased these new popsicle molds AND just so happened to have chocolate pudding mix in my pantry. You guessed where this chocolate-loving-baby-brain went after that. To the fridge to see if I had any Greek yogurt! To cut some of the sugary chocolate mix, I added a little Greek yogurt to the mix, which boosted the nutrition of the homemade fudgsicles just a little bit… and made them a little creamy too! So if your kids are as pink-cheeked as mine are from all the running they’ll be doing this summer, then you’ve got to give these homemade fudgsicles a try! No Capri Sun needed… although Joey and Anthony would probably disagree with Momma!

Note: This recipe was made specifically for these Ozera Popsicle Molds [affiliate link]. You may have to adjust the amount of filling for the type/size of popsicle molds you have at home. Just remember to keep the ratio of pudding to Greek yogurt 50/50 [and add a couple splashes of milk to make the filling more pourable.
