Hi! I’m Katie, Mom of two wild toddlers and one sweet baby girl, and a Registered Dietitian from Detroit, Michigan. I’m the founder of Mom to Mom Nutrition— a healthy food and lifestyle blog where I share my “me time” with other health-minded parents. On this blog you’ll find simple, family-friendly recipes, tips for new moms, and realistic nutrition advice. My goal is to show you that raising a healthy family is achievable, even when you have a toddler throwing food across your kitchen table and a baby wanting to nurse around the clock.
On Mom to Mom Nutrition you’ll find me sharing a lot about my day-to-day, which revolves around feeding my family and trying to keep my sense of humor in the process. My training and education as a Registered Dietitian has instilled a passion within me to raise a healthy family. So these are my test subjects: my husband, Ted, toddlers, Joey and Anthony, and baby, Lily. I work daily to create a positive AND fun family environment surrounding our food and nutrition habits. It’s easier said than done MOST days, but I’m finding what works and what doesn’t. And you better believe I’m sharing it with you!

I’m Italian, which means I’ve been passionate about eating AND cooking since birth. I’m the happiest when I’m cooking for friends and family, sipping on the red wine and enjoying good company. My cooking style is classic, comforting, and more often than not, healthy. Hopefully you love my recipes as much as I do, and come back for seconds!
Food and Family Philosophy
Feeding kids is HARD. A lot harder than this foodie-Mom anticipated. From picky eating to food throwing, I’ve saved you a seat at my kitchen table, where I’ll share what works and what doesn’t when feeding my kids. All of my recipes are toddler tested and approved. Even if they do get the one or two bite approval.
I took my love for food and talents in math and science to become an expert in the field of nutrition. I’m a Registered Dietitian, specializing in nutrition and health communications! I bleed green and white- having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University. I completed a Masters of Science in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University concurrent with my dietetic internship training.
