At-Home Summer Fun

June 23, 2020 By Katie

Like many of you, summer is presenting us with a different routine this year. We are opting for more at-home activities with limited time spent at parks, playscapes, zoos and more. While I know we will get to those things in time, the warm weather hit, the school bell rang [from home] and my kids are ready for summer. Which in their mind, means sun and water! Mother nature provides the first, and this mother of 4 can provide the rest with outdoor water fun.

A typical summer day in the Serbinski house involves lots of activity and plenty of noise. As the CEO of summer fun, you better believe I’m equipped with entertainment for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and Moms. I also have assumed the role as director of snack time activities, constantly on the lookout for new and improved snacks on the market that satisfy big and little taste buds. So, when I recently added Danimals® Organic Drinkable Smoothies to my Instacart shopping at Costco, I knew the first place I’d be serving them: in the backyard alongside our favorite water toys! Not saying we don’t do smoothies inside, but Danimals® make the perfect outdoor snack because of packaging, flavor, and nutrition.

While you can find these Danimals® in-store at your local Costco, I decided to order mine online via Instacart. However, you can save $3.50 off of Danimals® Organic Drinkable Smoothies at your local Costco now through July 27th!

Kids love to snack and choosing a snack everyone enjoys can be difficult. Danimals® smoothies are a snack you and the kids can agree on. Each single-serve smoothie contains calcium and vitamin D, two nutrients that work together to help kids build and maintain strong bones. And if your children are anything like mine, they need their energy and strength for all of their exciting summer adventures. Poolside or not!

There’s always room to make small, positive changes to my family’s diet to ensure everyone is getting the nutrition we need to fuel our busy days. And while I tend to vent that my children are always snacking, the truth is snack time can be the time of day where they get important nutrients they wouldn’t otherwise want to eat during meals. Danimals® Organic Drinkable Smoothies  are delicious and nutritious. Bursting with fruity flavors and nutrients like calcium and vitamin D, these smoothies are made without high-fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors, or artificial sources.

Not only did everyone have fun picking out their favorite smoothie flavor, Mom had an easy clean-up thanks to the individual containers! While I easily opted to take the smoothies from the fridge straight to the backyard water-world, you could easily pack a cooler bag and take these individually wrapped smoothies to the car, park, beach, or zoo! Seriously guys, just about any location you’re allowed to bring you own food PLUS your children, make sure you pack some smoothies. Because if you’re kids are anything like mine, we get to our destination and someone is hungry.

Not pictured: clean-up that my backyard presented post-snack time. Pick your battles, right Moms?! Or in this case, pick your bottles! Which one would you choose?!
