Make Ahead Yogurt Parfaits

July 24, 2020 By Katie

Disclaimer: This post has been brought to you in partnership with Healthy Height. All thoughts, opinions, and motherhood-musings are my own.

If you’ve ever been around small children for an extended period of time, you know that when they’re hungry, they’re HUNGRY! Regardless of when their last meal or snack was. To counteract my children’s hungry moments, I like to provide them with foods I know we can eat on the go, in front of their favorite TV show, or right when they wake up from a nap and are in prime snuggle-with-Mom mode! Like these make ahead yogurt parfaits.

This summer our eating has THANKFULLY be on the go more often than not! Despite present circumstances all of us are facing, the fresh air and fun is still ON this summer!
That means I have to be prepared and packed with plenty of healthy snacks/meals like these make ahead yogurt parfaits to fuel my growing foursome!

Make ahead yogurt parfaits are one of those recipe ideas I can get the whole crew involved in making, and I can have them customize based on their favorite toppings. The best part? I can add a few of my favorite mix-ins to make sure they pack a nutritional punch! My new go-to mix-in is Healthy Height shake mix. Healthy Height is great for fueling growing bodies because it’s packed with key nutrients our children need for growth. While it’s traditionally served as shake, this versatile powder can be transformed into a healthy snack, smoothie, or better yet, yogurt parfait.

Make ahead yogurt parfaits are an easy breakfast or snack option on the go. Protein-packed and totally customizable based on your family's favorite topping.

The whole family agreed upon the combination of whole grains and crunch, the protein-punch from Healthy Height and yogurt, and of course, the sweetness from the dried fruit and chocolate chips. While my kids aren’t necessarily agreeing with Mom from a nutrition standpoint, they certainly love these make ahead yogurt parfaits for their taste! These make ahead yogurt parfaits aren’t just for hungry littles! They make a perfect pick-me-up snack for the school-age child shuffling from one activity to the next, or an easy grab n’ go breakfast for your kids running out the door to catch the school bus. So, here’s to easy mealtime solutions that both please and energize our families!
