The Show Must Go On

January 16, 2024 By Katie

Hello there M2MN faithful! I just wanted to stop by and say the last few days have been anything but quiet- despite how quiet I’ve been on the blog and social media. We had a 3-day weekend plus a few unexpected days off because of cold weather. Just when I had the kids’ school stuff out and ready for Tuesday, we got the call. NO SCHOOL. While I wanted to stomp my feet and feel sorry for myself with a few extra days at home with the crew, I kept reminding myself, “the show must go on.” Why? I have no idea. But it was the only saying that kept a little humor on my mind vs. the mess that had collected in all rooms of my house in 24 hours.

I know. Houses get messy. And yes, the house got messy.

Yes, there was plenty of sibling bickering.

But on the bright side of things, we were able to spend some quality time with friends that aren’t always off on the same days as we are because of different school schedules. I was able to show up for friends who show up for me- which is SO important for my children to see.

And guess what? I was able to tidy up at the end of the night. Well, at the end of snow day 1. Snow day 2 was spent mainly at Nana and Goomba’s house… and ended with a visit from the 3 dudes around the block!

Paper-shredding: A fun activity on a cold snow day when you’re running out of things to do inside lol.
