Because healthy eating and physical activity go hand in hand, I thought I’d take a moment to share some of the boys’ favorite outdoor toys for toddlers! You know, the toys that help expend their endless energy so we can all get to bed or take a nap at a decent hour. Just don’t tell them that’s Mom’s way of thinking…
I’m definitely missing things on this list like a swing set, sand table or sand box, and kiddie pool; that’s just because a. I don’t like dealing with the sand unless we are on a beach b. the kiddie pool we do have is HUGE and the boys will play in it for 5 mins then ask to play in the sprinkler… so is it necessary? Eh a sprinkler works! and c. we live by a lot of parks that offer the swing set and sand box option. SO, here’s OUR list of budget-friendly outdoor toys for toddlers my dynamic toddler-duo can’t live without! Note: Affiliate links included [and images were originally posted on Amazon.com].
Water Table. The next best thing to a backyard sprinkler, we have this thing filled and running almost every day of the week when it’s swimsuit season!
Bubble Machines & Wands. What I love about bubbles is that if we decide to take a walk to a local park, I can put a few wands in our stroller so the boys can chase bubbles around the grassy fields as another park activity.
Slide. The littlest Serbinski toddler could climb up and slide down for hours upon hours…
Get the kids outside and away from the TV with these the best 10 Outdoor Toys for Toddlers! Share on XFrisbee. Want to see how far and fast your toddler can run? Throw a Frisbee for them! Was that mean? I didn’t mean it to sound that way…
Basketball Hoop. We have this in our basement during the winter and outside during the summer. A double duty toy!
T-Ball. Same thing goes for this set like the basketball hoop.
Wagon. The boys love pushing their wagon [dinosaurs as passengers] up and down our block. And I’m sure our neighbors get a kick out of it too!
Tunnel. I’ve seen some tunnel sets that lead into ball pits. Ours is just a plain old tunnel… but the boys still have fun with it! We like to make little obstacle courses with it too.
Plastic Bowling Set. This is fun to set up on the driveway or back deck. It doesn’t sit well on the grass but just remember the ball moves much faster on the cement. Toddlers love that!
Lawn Mower. If only this thing worked like the real deal… our lawn would be mowed daily!
And I guess number 11 would be chalk. But I’m sure you already have that… or your toddler has already tasted it like mine have!
What would make your top outdoor toys for toddlers list?! Anything I’m missing?
